What is the IFRF?
The IFRF is a membership based industrial co-operative,
working to achieve cleaner and more efficient combustion. It has been
active in this field for over 50 years, principally in experimental research,
and is now based at Livorno, Italy:
The
International Communication Centre - IFRF NET
The acquisition of technical information is done through investigations
at its experimental facilities and through co-operation, organised via
IFRF NET, which is also active in the dissemination of this information.
What are the IFRF objectives?
| The objectives for which the IFRF
was established are: |
 |
to attain knowledge and experience bearing upon combustion,
in an efficient and environmentally acceptable manner. |
 |
to accumulate this knowledge within an international
centre of excellence. |
 |
to place this knowledge and experience at the disposal
of others for further development and industrial application. |
IFRF as a Network?
As a network, with individual members from different industrial fields
of expertise, the IFRF combines information and resources to achieve their
objectives more effectively. Members advise the IFRF on future research
and services requirements.
Thus the IFRF is an industrial and academic Network, based mainly on the
Members of 14 National Committees for Flame Reseach plus Associate Members.
Members share common objectives - to advance the understanding of industrial
combustion processes and to promote cleaner, more efficient energy conversion.
