How to join:

There are a range of membership types available that range from individual members through to companies. This can be with or without full IFRF access (this requires an additional fee for this service). Membership benefits:

The benefits of being part of British Flame and the membership opportunities available by participating in our activities, along with those available from IFRF Net and Station. These can be summarised as:
  • Unique international network of companies, research organisations and universities with a common interest in industrial combustion engineering and technology

  • Online access to a unique database and combustion technology information library through the IFRF Members' only website, e.g. Combustion Handbook

  • Access to the IFRF's Technical Advice Bureau

  • Getting technical assistance from the international family of member companies and organisations through the confidential Technical Discussion Q&A Forum

  • Technical and programme strategy input to the Members' Research projects, undertaken and the IFRF Research Station at IJmuiden, in Holland

  • Access to either the IFRF's research and fuel testing facilities and equipment sales at special rates or a range of member organisations offering similar services in the UK

  • Develop international network of contacts in industrial combustion engineering with users, equipment suppliers, service providers, universities and research organisations

  • Opportunity to market your Company's services, facilities and products to the other UK and international members

  • Potential to form national and international consortium to undertake research and development projects

  • Able to attend IFRF specialised / topic orientated technical meetings (TOTeMs) and the triennial international Members' Conference

  • Training of staff through short-term secondments to the Research Station and through a range of member organisations

  • Obtain weekly updates on technical and news items relevant to the international energy scene

  • Attending technical meetings and seminars organised by the British Flame, including Flame Days (often held with other National Committees)
