Roger Dudill - Chairman - Roger has the
responsibility of giving direction and leadership to British Flame.
He was European Manager (retired) of Air Products Combustion Centre
of Excellence with specific worldwide responsibility of oil and oxy-fuel
fired systems for the company. Prior to joining Air Products, he worked
in fuels and furnace research for British Steel and in project engineering
and sales for a large furnace manufacturer. |

John Witton - Secretary - John is a Chartered
Engineer and is responsible for operational issues for BFRC. He started
his career in the Royal Air Force. John worked at the BCURA, then
with a large firm of consulting engineers specialising in utility
thermal power plant. He joined Cranfield University in 1973 to work
on applied combustion and heat transfer research, rising to lead the
Combustor and Heat Transfer Technology Research Group. Outside Cranfield
he has acted as a technical referee for several national governments.
He referees papers for ASME, AIAA, IMechE, Elsevier and others. He
is a member of IMechE, ASME and IoD and continues to practice as an
engineer. |

Jeff Rhine -Membership Development Officer
- is responsible for membership liaison, recruitment, publicity and
assisting in organising British Flame events. He is an independent
consultant specialising in the energy and environmental technologies
field. Prior to becoming a consultant, he was a Project Manager for
Advantica Technologies Ltd (former British Gas). Responsibilities
included RD&D projects for a range of industrial processes and conventional
power generation. |
